The Friedrich Naumann Foundation supported Blog Bug, a winner of its Young Socio-Political Entrepreneur project competition of 2006.
In 2007, Blog Bug organized a blog reality competition called Blog Idol 1 where 12 bloggers compete to win the coveted award.
Merpati Jingga is just an extention of Blog Bug work towards freedom.
