NGOs response to reports of rape, sexual abuse and exploitation of Penan girls and women by loggers

A group of concerned NGOs have gathered together to respond to the news report in the Star today that exposed the outrages rapes of many Penan girls in Sarawak by logging workers. These sort of crime, apparently are not new and to our horror, it has been on going for some years with impunity.

The group of NGOs have decided to extend support to the victims and to campaign for the ending of this kind of impunity and to book the perpetrators to justice.
